Privacy Policy

Effective July 28, 2026. TradeHelp is designed to keep trading-journal data on the devices you control.

Information stored on your device

Trade entries, notes, rules, statistics, settings, and selected chart screenshots are stored locally on your device. TradeHelp does not require a TradeHelp account and does not upload this journal data to a TradeHelp-operated cloud database.

Optional device-to-device sync

If you enable mobile sync, the mobile and desktop apps communicate directly over your local network using a rotating pairing code. Journal data sent through this feature travels between your paired devices and is not routed through a TradeHelp server. You should only enable local sync on a private network you trust.

Economic calendar and notifications

When the economic calendar is refreshed, the app requests a public calendar feed over the internet. The feed provider may receive standard connection information such as your IP address and request time. Upcoming events are cached on your device, and news reminders are scheduled as local device notifications. TradeHelp does not register a remote push token for these reminders.

Camera and photo access

Camera access is used to scan a desktop pairing QR code or capture a chart image. Photo-library access is used only when you choose a chart screenshot. Selected images remain on your device unless you explicitly use a sync or sharing feature that includes them.

AI and optional third-party services

The desktop app can use a local AI model. If you choose a cloud AI provider or another optional online data provider, the information needed for that request is sent directly to the provider you selected under its privacy terms. TradeHelp does not receive your provider API keys.

Charts

The desktop app offers two charts. The execution map is drawn by TradeHelp from prices you already recorded for a trade, requires no connection, and sends nothing anywhere. The live chart is an embedded TradingView widget: opening it loads content from TradingView, which may receive the symbol you are viewing along with standard connection information such as your IP address, under TradingView's own privacy terms. Your trade entries, notes, prices, and profit and loss are not sent to TradingView. The live chart is only loaded when you open it.

Analytics, advertising, and sale of data

The TradeHelp desktop and mobile apps do not contain advertising SDKs, and TradeHelp does not sell journal data or personal information. Website analytics are separate from journal data stored in the apps.

The public TradeHelp website uses privacy-focused aggregate visit counting. With your optional permission, it may also load the Reddit Ads Pixel to measure product-page visits, Gumroad checkout clicks, and successful email signups associated with advertising campaigns. Reddit may receive the page URL, referrer, browser and network information, advertising identifiers, and the event performed. Trade entries, notes, screenshots, account balances, and app usage are never sent to the advertising pixel.

If purchase measurement is enabled on Gumroad, the receipt page may send Reddit a purchase event containing the order reference, amount, currency, and TradeHelp product identifier. Gumroad processes purchases as the merchant of record under its own privacy terms. You can decline or change optional Reddit measurement through the website's Privacy choices control. Browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals are treated as a decline.

Deleting your data

You can remove mobile data by deleting the TradeHelp app from your device. Desktop data can be deleted from the TradeHelp data folder. Because TradeHelp does not maintain a journal account on its servers, there is no server-side journal profile to delete.

Children

TradeHelp is not directed to children and is intended as a personal journaling and educational tool for people who track financial-market activity.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated as TradeHelp adds features. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Questions can be sent through the channels on the TradeHelp support page.

Not financial advice. TradeHelp records and summarizes information entered by the user. It does not execute trades, hold funds, provide brokerage services, or promise trading results.
