Import TopstepX trades into your journal
Running a Topstep eval or funded account? Export your trades from TopstepX and TradeHelp journals them in one pass — mapped automatically, fees netted, and the whole batch assigned to the right prop account so your cushion math stays honest.
Export from TopstepX
- In TopstepX, open your trade history / trades log for the account you want to journal.
- Set the date range you're after.
- Use the export to CSV action — the file has columns like
ContractName, EnteredAt, ExitedAt, EntryPrice, ExitPrice, Fees, PnL, Size, Type.
Import into TradeHelp
- Open the Journal tab and click Import CSV.
- Drop the file in — TradeHelp shows "TopstepX export recognized" with every column mapped.
- Pick the matching prop account in "Assign imported trades to" so the trades count toward that account's target and drawdown.
- Check the preview, click Import, and watch the account card update.
What TradeHelp handles for you
- Timestamps that other journals miss — TopstepX's
EnteredAt/ExitedAtheaders are recognized outright, so your trades keep their real dates and fill the hour-by-day heat map. - Fees netted into P&L and totaled on your dashboard.
- Contract names cleaned so symbols group consistently with manually logged trades.
- Duplicates skipped — re-export any time; only new trades come in.
- Eval-aware journaling — combined with per-account tracking, imports keep each account's cushion, target progress and payout history accurate.
- Rating turns Verified from broker-sourced trades.
Topstep traders often also run Tradovate or NinjaTrader 8 — both exports are auto-recognized too.
